Following the Shareholders’ General Meeting held on October 2, 2026, DIAGAST announces the appointment of Franck Mouthon as President.

In his new role, Franck MOUTHON will be responsible for ensuring the continuity of DIAGAST’s operations, supporting the teams whose expertise in immunohematology is recognized worldwide, and continuing the implementation of the company’s development strategy.

This appointment reflects DIAGAST’s commitment to pursuing its mission of supporting healthcare professionals and contributing every day to transfusion safety around the world. The company will continue to build on its long-standing expertise, its capacity for innovation, and the dedication of its employees to support laboratories in their immunohematology diagnostic activities. Through this new leadership, DIAGAST also reaffirms its commitment to strengthening French healthcare sovereignty.

Franck MOUTHON's speech

A career dedicated to Healthcare Innovation

Before joining DIAGAST, Franck Mouthon served as Executive Director of the Health Research Programs Agency, led by INSERM, since 2024. He was also appointed as an expert member of the monitoring committee for the France 2030 Health Innovation Plan.

Elected President of France Biotech in 2019, the independent association representing healthcare innovation entrepreneurs, he co-founded Theranexus in 2013, a biopharmaceutical company spun out of the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) and specialized in the treatment of neurological disorders.

Prior to that, Franck Mouthon spent nearly ten years leading a CEA research team dedicated to prion infections. A graduate of the École Normale Supérieure (ENS), he holds degrees in molecular biology, biochemistry and neuroscience from ENS, as well as a qualification in medical virology from the Institut Pasteur.
