The E.M.® Technology stands for Erythrocyte Magnetized Technology. It is based on Red Blood Cells (RBC) magnetization. This innovative solution allows us to avoid washing and centrifugation steps usually associated to traditional immunohaematology testing. 

There are two methods of magnetization depending on the type of test performed:

• Magnetization by adsorption

Iron particles which are positively charged and contained in a magnetization solution are attracted to negative charges surrounding the surface of the RBC.

• Specific magnetization

An iron particle coupled with an antibody anti-Glycophorin A (GPA) will bind to the GPA expressed at the surface of the RBC.

The magnetized RBC will be attracted at the bottom of the well when subjected to a magnetic force thus avoiding the centrifugation step.

The E.M.® Technology uses a patented high-density solution (NanoLys) which enables to avoid washing steps. NanoLys will created a barrier which will block non-specific antibodies that could interfere when performing direct and indirect antiglobulin tests.

79969 – Groupa DVI Lys (8 tests per microplate)
Application : ABO (1, 2, 3), RH D (1), Partial D/DVI, Reverse typing ABO 2 or 4 cells,

79968 – Groupa CDE Lys (8 tests per microplate)
