french Prime minister visits diagast

Mr. Jean Castex, Prime Minister honoured us with a visit on October 16th.  DIAGAST was chosen for its exemplary management of the COVID-19 health crisis.

After an update on the epidemiological situation in the Lille Metropole within a Covid-19 medical unit, as well as in the virology laboratory of the CHRU of Lille, the Prime Minister arrived at DIAGAST. Michel Lalande, Prefect of the Hauts-de-France region, Anne Voituriez, Mayor of Loos and Pr Benoit Vallet, Director General of the ARS Hauts-de-France also attended this unexpected ministerial visit.

Bruno MORINO introduced DIAGAST and its activity of conception, manufacturing and marketing of blood diagnostic tests. A key figure will mark the intervention of our CEO: 30 compatibility tests between patient and donor blood are performed per second worldwide, i.e. 100,000 tests performed during this visit

Our CEO also pointed out that in 20 years, our turnover tripled while our workforce doubled. He also mentioned the inauguration less than 2 years ago of our new industrial building, twice the size of our original site.

Frédérique LECOMTE, DIAGAST's HR Director, took the floor to explain the business continuity plan, as well as the measures taken by DIAGAST during the COVID-19 crisis (PPE supplies, FFP2 masks and hydro-alcoholic gels, implementation of teleworking from March 2020, progressive management of deconfinement, new measures from October 12nd).

The visit of the company continued with the presentation of the Cell Culture department and its fermentors room, where monoclonal antibodies are produced.

Inana NAMET, International Product Manager, also presented the QWALYS automated systems range, which allows laboratories and blood banks to perform blood grouping tests.

The Prime Minister then held a press conference on the COVID-19 situation in front of the red brick arch of our headquarters, to recall the seriousness of the current health crisis, particularly in the Hauts-de-France region.
