HEMO 2011 IN SAO PAULO

FRESENIUS KABI , our exclusive distributor for the Brazilian market, attended HEMO 2011 , the 33nd Congress of the Brazilian Society of Hematology, held November 10-13 in Sao Paulo. The high level of quality of this event confirmed it as the most important conference in Latin America and as the third largest congress of the Immunohematology specialty in the world.

HEMO represents the most important annual meeting of scientific and social activities of the Associação Brasileira de Hematologia e Hemoterapia . Year after year, HEMO has taken a greater importance in the international exhibition sector which is reflected in numbers since HEMO encompasses more than 4,000 participants , 1,200 papers , 50 international speakers and 100 exhibiting companies/sponsors .

In partnership with FRESENIUS KABI , DIAGAST participated in this big event on a common booth. The focus was on the QWALYS range, the fully-automated system from DIAGAST. This automaton using the newest E.M.® Technology can process blood typing, crossmatching and antibody screening, etc. Opportunity was given to introduce (or to remind) to the brasilian biologists the lastest microplate configurations usable on QWALYS.

This congress was an excellent opportunity to strenghen the popularity of our automaton and its asociated technology but also to get fruitful contacts with the numerous biologists which visit the booth where we were the guests of FRESENIUS KABI.

The appointment is made for the 2012 HEMO edition.
